The Detroit News Comments Amy Meier of Rochester High, who just completed her senior year at Ohio State, made the cut at the U.S. Womens Open over the weekend at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. Meier shot 74, 72, 82, 77 for a 17-over total of 305 in the LPGA major. She was named All-Big Ten first team in 2012 and 2013. She led the Buckeyes this season with a 74.32 scoring average. Meier was medalist of the 2008 Michigan state championship, leading Rochester to the Division 1 team title.
