(Daniel Mears / Detroit News) Lions receiver Calvin Johnson and Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera are nominated for two ESPY awards each, it was announced Thursday. Johnson is nominated for best record-breaking performance for topping Jerry Rices single-season NFL receiving yards mark. Johnson had 1,964 yards in 2012 to pass Rices 1,848. Johnson is also a finalist for best NFL player; the others are Broncos QB Peyton Manning, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Texans DE J.J. Watt.
